How often does TradesViz sync trades from TopStepX?

TradesViz automatically syncs your TopStepX trades once per day. You can also manually trigger a sync at any time through the connections list on the auto-import page.

Can I import historical trades from TopStepX to TradesViz?

Yes, by default TradesViz imports the last 90 days of trades when you first connect. You can also set a custom sync-from date during the connection setup to import trades from a specific start date.

What futures contracts are supported for TopStepX auto-sync?

TradesViz supports all major futures contracts available on TopStepX including equity index futures (ES, NQ, YM, RTY and their micros), energy futures (CL, NG), metals (GC, SI, HG), agriculture (ZC, ZS, ZW), treasuries (ZB, ZN, ZF, ZT), and currency futures (6E, 6J, 6B, 6A). Unmapped contracts are imported using their raw ProjectX symbol code.

Auto import trades from TopStepX or ProjectX

In this post, we will explore how to pair your TradesViz account with TopStepX platform.

TopStepX auto-sync requires a separate ProjectX API subscription. This is NOT included with TradesViz. You must subscribe to the ProjectX API independently to enable this integration.

This post assumes that you have read the basics about auto importing in TradesViz.

Once you select your trading account and broker as "TopStepX" in the trade auto-import page, a popup box will appear when you click on the "Connect account" button.

The purpose of this blog post is to guide you in establishing a TopStepX connection on TradesViz. Here are the steps you need to follow:

Go to projectx.com and subscribe to the API plan. Once subscribed, generate an API key from the ProjectX Dashboard.
Fill in your ProjectX username, API key, and account IDs (only if you know them)
Click Connect and the connection will be established

Once connected, you can click on sync in the connections list to get your trades synced into TradesViz. All our syncs run once per day automatically and you are also able to manually trigger the sync at any time.

Note: This connection only gives us READ-ONLY permission to your account to access your orders/trades. We do not have any other permissions. We do NOT have any trading/transfer of coins/assets permissions.
