What is Win Rate?

Win Rate measures how often your trades are profitable, expressed as a percentage.

Formula

Win Rate = (Winning Trades / Total Trades) × 100%

Common Misconceptions

Myth: Higher win rate = better trader

A 90% win rate with tiny winners and huge losers will destroy your account. A 35% win rate with large winners can be extremely profitable.

Where to find it in TradesViz

Summary > Overall Statistics > Total Trades shows total win rate. For breakdowns, go to Trades Analysis > Wins/Losses Charts for win rate by price range, volume, time of day, day of week, and duration. Use Performance Metrics > Hit Ratio tab for cumulative trends. The Winning trades % in Ttotal trades tab under Summary section uses a simple ratio of winning trades/total trades (including wins, losses, breakeven, open trades). However, the win % in overview only uses closed winning trades/(total closed winning + losing trades). <br> Note that breakeven trades are based on slack defined in the account settings and can be adjusted there.

Example

65 winning trades out of 100 = 65% win rate
