What are Trading Goals?

Trading Goals is an automated accountability system. Define targets and limits the system tracks achievement in real-time from your trade data.

Goal Types

"Greater Than" Goals (Targets)

Metrics to maximize:
- Total PnL > $500
- Win Rate > 50%
- Exit Efficiency > 70%
- Green gauges fill up as approached

"Less Than" Goals (Limits)

Metrics to stay under:
- Commissions < $50
- Max Drawdown < $200
- Losing Trades < 3
- Red gauges warn as limit approaches

Timeframes

  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Monthly

Automated Calculation

Uses full analytics engine:
- MFE/MAE from trade data
- R-values calculated automatically
- Net PnL with commission profiles

Visualization

  • Goal Percentage: Total achievement score
  • Heat-mapped goal table
  • Drill-down by time period

Where to find it in TradesViz

Account Settings > Goals to define daily, weekly, and monthly targets. View goal progress in Dashboard > Goals widget. Green gauges for targets (greater than), red gauges for limits (less than). Goal Percentage shows overall achievement.

Example

Daily goal: PnL above 100. Weekly: Max Drawdown below 500. Monthly: Win Rate above 55%.
