What is Hit Ratio?

Hit Ratio (also called Win Rate) is the percentage of your trades that end in profit. It's one of the most basic but important metrics for evaluating trading performance.

What's a Good Hit Ratio?

It depends on your risk-reward ratio:

Hit Ratio Min R:R Needed Strategy Type
30-40% 2:1 or higher Trend following
50% 1:1 Balanced
60-70% 0.5:1 acceptable Scalping, mean reversion
80%+ Any Rare, usually small gains

The Hit Ratio Trap
